I totally got caught up with the day and didn’t ring until late to check in and they were very understanding. The room was warm, cosy and clean, with fabulous views. And the magic touch, they had the electric blanket warning my bed when I got in to bed with my sore feet from dancing. Will be back.

A beautiful property. Our room was huge, it was so lovely to be able to rest, spread out and open our bags easily. We loved having a bath and enjoyed the space and decor of the room. The resort itself is away from the town, costing us about 15 Euros in a taxi to get into town and then another 15 Euros to come back. We decided after that to stay in the hotel and use the facilities there. We were very surprised with the prices of beer and wine in the hotel, which were pretty similar to the pubs. We enjoyed a few evenings in the bar and ate the soup and chicken wings - which were great. Breakfast was amazing too! The staff were so lovely, Paula in the bar, Jacqueline and Emily in the restaurant, as well as Tommy and Natalia. Everyone was so very friendly and we had a lot of fun while we were there. We had just finished a 3 week drive around Ireland and Northern Ireland, and were looking for somewhere to fill in 3 nights before heading back to Dublin. Very good value for money - with lovely walking opportunities as well as the chance for a steam, spa and swim in the resort.

The Hotel Imperial is in Dundalk town centre, close to all the major attractions and shops, bars and restaurants. It has free parking, modern bars and coffee shop. The staff were all very friendly and helpful

Escape to The Carrickdale for comfort and indulgence on the Cooley Peninsula. It has a leisure centre, a fitness centre and the therapeutic Serenity Spa. The jacuzzi steam and sauna were great the tunnel connecting both sides was nice in the rain the secret cafe was fabulous the staff helpful the mini golf and gardens nice to stroll around
