The location is everything and the staff is so kind and careing. I stayed for two nights to enjoy a birdwatching tour on Kalamitya Bird Sanctuary and when I got back I got an amazing breakfast. Furthermore the swimming pool area is fabulous with excellent sunbeds and service around. The view is stunning. The hotel itself, unusual to most places in Sri Lanka, is very well decorated. That will include some interesting historical pictures hanging on the wall, gorgeous wooden colors and very well designed bathrooms. I would definitely advice this place to anybody visiting this part of Sri Lanka. I read something about stray dogs. If you're not into stray dogs probably you shouldn't visit Sri Lanka at all. They were harmless and cute at least at this place and no more then three

There are many different beautiful animals and birds around. The house was clean, the shower worked well, the breakfast was very tasty. Very good location, near a beautiful beach, where there are not many people, quiet and peaceful. The owner of the house will always be remembered as a very nice man, he took us everywhere we needed and helped us with everything. He tried very hard to make everything good. He was happy to tell interesting facts about Sri Lanka and answered all the questions. We also took advantage of the tour he offered which was excellent! A truly great person!

The property is in a quiet location with a peaceful garden setting. The staff we re increadibly helpful and polite. They organised for us to feed the bambi that live on the property, took us on a local tour of the lake, showing us the native birds, crocodiles and bats, plus they organised our safari to Yala and taxi to Tangalle. The safari itself was incredible, our driver clearly had a good eye and could spot a camaflaged chameleon at a distance!

Great location by the beautiful very private but rocky beach. Delicious breakfast. Great service ! Very helpful and professional staff. Morning and evening room service. Very healing and relaxing sound of the ocean. Next time i will book it for more days !!
