Set in the Skjæringa area of Longyearbyen, Mary-Ann's Polarrigg is built with old rigs. Central Longyearbyen is between 6-8 minutes walk away and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. The best accommodation in Longyearbyen imaginable! Not just a hotel but many other facilities including a huge "living room", game room, restaurant, etc. A complex of several buildings set aside from the city center yet very close to it (there is a bridge shortcut to the town). We stayed there during the polar night and we enjoyed the setting with Christmas trees in the yard. Very nice breakfasts and a superb restaurant.

Centrally located in Longyearbyen, Basecamp Hotel is a traditional trapper's lodge-style property just 15 minutes’ drive from Longyearbyen Airport. The airport bus stops right outside. Almost everything is perfect. The room is clean and spacial. The people here are friendly and willing to help. The heating system is like that the energy is free of cost. The location is right next to the city center, which means easy to go to restaurants and supermarket. It is very important in winter. The decoration makes me feel in a wooden cottage, which was an amazing experience.
