Located 5 km south-west of Caen, this Hotel Ibis is entirely air conditioned and offers modern rooms. It is easily accessible via the A84 motorway, exit 9, 900 metres away. The room was bigger than I expect for an Ibis. There is a restaurant attached, with McDonald's next door, lots of options for meals. The bathroom made me think of a spaceship, which was fun; the shower was good. The public area on the main floor was comfortable, and they would get you coffee or tea if you asked. Parking was plentiful. Public transportation is not far and made it very easy to get into town. The second night, the restaurant was changing their menu, and we were invited to taste-test everything for free. It was excellent, and an example of how friendly and accommodating they are.

The location was wonderful as a hub for exploring various parts of Normandy. The lodgings themselves were wonderful for a feeling of being “at home “ while traveling. The host was very kind and accommodating- the extra touch of leaving fresh bread and jams / confiture for breakfast the next morning was unexpected. I would definitely recommend this choice and would gladly stay here again!

May be a good idea to use similar barrier at stairs entry to restrict the toddlers to go up on stairs. this will really help parents to leave the kids freely in the apartment and enjoy their vacation. the outdoor was really beautiful with fresh breeze of cold air outside the Vila for a fresh start in morning.
