Hynish House, boasting a garden, is situated in Sandwick, 32 km from Callanish Standing Stones and 6.8 km from Museum Nan Eilean. The place was small but well decorated, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. An outside garden area was fenced off for privacy and had loungers, table and chairs, and a barbecue for our use and the host couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

The Gallafield looks good on the website, but is even better in reality. The living area with its high ceiling and its windows feels spacious and light. Four people would easily be comfortable; for the two of us it was perfect. The property is very clean, has lots of storage space, good sized beds, plenty of kitchen equipment and two excellent showers. The location was ideal for us - just outside the centre of Stornoway and it was easy to communicate with Rhona, our host. We stayed there for a week and were sorry to leave.

The kitchen had excellent facilities. The WiFi worked great. We appreciated the ability to do a little laundry at the property.

Having our own bedrooms and a kitchen for a few days while we explored the island was just superb. It was great to stay in a proper home in the middle of all the travelling we were doing and we were able to relax and enjoy all the more for it.

The old lady at the reception was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is beautiful with a loch next to it and no noice at all.

Merevaatega East Cottage asub Sandwickis, 2,8 km kaugusel Traigh Mbegabosti rannast ja 29 km kaugusel Callanishi püsikividest. The property was outside of Stornoway but very close to pop into for shopping as required. Very well laid out and the view from the back across to the sea was really good.
