Situated in Keflavík, 20 km from Blue Lagoon, Courtyard by Marriott Reykjavik Keflavik Airport features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. We had an early flight so was great to stay so close to the airport. The hotel provided a shuttle to the airport which was super quick. Our rooms were lovely and spacious. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and had dinner at the restaurant. The food was amazing! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Iceland is new to us so without spending a lot of time planning an itinerary for a destination we are totally unfamiliar with, a compact camper van makes a lot more sense because it provides a lot of flexibility while the overall cost is comparable if not lower than rental of a car plus hotel. Our previous tour of Newfoundland was in a SUV and the compact camper van experience is definitely better.

The instructions were clear, everything was spotless, temperature control was simple with the radiators, and the apartment was well-stocked with kitchen equipment, a washer and dryer — all the conveniences that are often costly or unavailable in hotels.

Amenities were amazing. Sauna and Hot tub were fantastic. Great way to deal with jet lag. Our host checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Perfect stay close to the airport and great to have a parking spot for our hire car. Easy check in instructions. Well equipped with simple kitchen equipment. Comfortable and clean bedding. Watched the northern lights right outside our door!

Extremely accommodating host who lives on the property with facts who is there to give advice and recommendations. Would definitely stay again if I come back to Iceland. The double bed is elevated about 3 feet off the floor which was mildly challenging for 2 75 year olds.
