Not only is the place itself very nice and clean, but we also felt very welcomed by the host. There is a small brewery run by the host, so we were able to enjoy a glass of delicious draft beer made right there. Thank you for having us – we would definitely come back!

There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

Set 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 3.9 km from Taisanji Temple in Matsuyama, 旧鈴木邸 女性専用 offers accommodation with a kitchenette. The place was lovely. It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Amazing staff and the room had everything I could possibly want plus things I didn’t even need like a shoe horn, torch and crash helmet! They even gave me a translation of the air conditioning control. Breakfast was also wonderful)Japanese) with a huge variety and the location is perfect right next to the JR station and the tram lines yet not noisy at all
