My wife and I only stayed overnight. Quite roomy for 2. Like the view of the ocean and poolside. We like going there for the hot bath in the past. Downside: very old facilities with some upgrades, toilet is very small and tight, hotel does not have free complementary breakfast.

A standalone unit located next to the host's house. The property is furnished well and reminded me of a personal bach/summer house, feels like home - loved it. The property is well equipped - a full-blown kitchen with everything you need to cook, a bathroom, a dining table, a fridge, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. The owner left some "welcome" ice cream in the freezer and then brought a watermelon he had grown in his garden as a welcome gift. Nice touch. Big supermarket store right next door - food, drinks, medicines etc. (cash only). Great location - close to major Katsuki attractions, not long drive to Beppu. The host is very friendly and helpful. At the end of the stay, he gave us a tour of Kitsuki samurai residences which was a great bonus. Thank you, sir, it was much appreciated. I highly recommend to stay here if you're visiting Kitsuki, Beppu or nearby areas.

This accommodation was absolutely perfect in every way. I cannot think of any ways to improve it. The house is very large, and would suit a large group. Multiple showers and toilets, a full kitchen and dining room. On site parking, and everything was absolutely spotlessly clean. Our host was amazingly kind and welcoming, and offered great advice about our stay in Kitsuki and our visits to surrounding areas. If I ever return to North-East Kyushu again I will stay here again. During our stay my niece was poorly, she had a fever and the night staff 2 japanese men rang the hospital for us. He even type the hospital location to my sister’s car because she struggled with reading kanji. They were all very helpful to us,they lend their thermometer even put a translator for my husband inorder to understand him. I have had a problem connecting with my sister to pick us up from the Umi Jigoku and Mr Taro was talking to us in English and all the staffs were all very helpful. Mr Taro even left the desk to ask our my niece was. Please give him an award or praise please. Many thanks to all the cleaners the onsen lady for private family bath.

Fico HIJI er staðsett í Hiji, í innan við 33 km fjarlægð frá Oita Bank Dome og 14 km frá Beppu-stöðinni. The breakfast was quite good and there were lots of choices. The coffee was good and you could get a strong coffee unlike in some other places we tried. Everything was super clean and looked very new.
