Lifesaving when you have an early flight and want to have an additional hour of sleep, clean rooms and facilities are important advantages too. We had a late check-in, so we especially appreciated the swiftness of the process and the clear explanations of the receptionist.

Airport Hotel Mara is a North American style hotel, located 2 km from the Riga International Airport and 7 km from Riga Old Town. Guests have free WiFi and free private parking at their disposal. Rooms very clean, but not the most comfortable. Ideal for staying the night before an early morning flight. Staff(young lady around 20) was very attentive, friendly and engaging. She booked a taxi for us too. Price was great considering location and for the 5 of us(2 adults, 3 kids) we paid €100 for the night.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything I could possibly need, including an AI-powered washing machine. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the wonderful couple who own the place. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I need. They genuinely love meeting travelers and intuitively understand exactly what we need to feel comfortable and cared for. If you arrange in advance, they’re even willing to drive you to the airport at a fair price. The neighborhood is peaceful, green, and full of charm, with a lovely local vibe. Plus, it’s only a minute walk to the bus stop that takes you directly to the city center, making it an ideal base for exploring Riga. I recommend this special place to anyone looking for an authentic, home-like experience in Riga.
