Eventhough for some it seems like walking distance, I do not recommend this on arrival, especially if your flight is late and it is dark outside. Rather take one of the cabs as you may miss it as tge sign is facing the side not seen from the airport. Rooms are big and comfy with aircon working perfectly. Hot water was always available. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient and fresh. The highlight is definitelly the staff, that was really taking care and helping with our request. When the road to capital was closed due to bridge reconstruction, they even paid a motorbike to lead us the right way :)

VIP House-Praia Francesca er staðsett við ströndina í São Tomé og býður upp á garð og ókeypis WiFi. Fernando was an excellent host, picked us up and brought us again to the airport and was very nice. The small apartment is very clean, in a very convenient location a few minutes from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was also great in the patio in the garden. Thank you for the excellent homemade juices!

Located by the beach on Sao Tome Island in the Gulf of Guinea, Omali Lodge provides elegant rooms and free WiFi access. Omali is a great hotel near the airport, and a short walk to the popular beach. The on-site restaurant had an amazing buffet breakfast, and I also had lunch and dinner there. The pool was very clean and perfect for a morning swim. The staff had plenty of helpful information and really made the stay.

Gististaðurinn er í São Tomé, Ocean View Guesthouse býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu og aðgangi að garði. Location was wonderful. Laurindo took care of the transfers as it is impossible to use a rental car to get there, and took us, for a fee, to town for dinner one night. There was no charge for our transfer from and to the airport. Laurendino also took us to a supermarket before taking us to the Ocean View. One needs to get groceries. He also was kind to arrange two boat trips to Goat Island. We were lucky to have the whole Guesthouse including the kitchen for ourselves. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Laurendino!

Casa Luis í São Tomé býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði fyrir gesti sem koma akandi. Útisundlaug er á staðnum. A private house with some rooms, garden and pool. Very nice. Luis the owner was extremely helpful.

I found the stay very comfortable. The air conditioning was excellent and really helped with the heat. The breakfast was tasty, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing

Apartamento Vista Mar er gististaður sem var nýlega gerður upp í São Tomé, 700 metra frá Emília-ströndinni. Boðið er upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi og einkabílastæði. The host was there and he helped me move in, despite the language barrier. The location is great, everything is within walking distance and we felt safe, comfortable and it was clean.

Monteiro Paradise Guest House er staðsett í São Tomé og Lagarto-strönd er í innan við 1,6 km fjarlægð. The guesthouse is a "perfect choice" with a great location, clean rooms, tasty food, and helpful owners. It's close to the beach and quiet. The view to the airport is stunning. I do recommend for families and also solo travellers who wish to come to this wonderful island. The owner has helped me with everything, from the tours with him, the free pick up and drop off at the airport, the best restaurants that he has taken me and so on.
