Eventhough for some it seems like walking distance, I do not recommend this on arrival, especially if your flight is late and it is dark outside. Rather take one of the cabs as you may miss it as tge sign is facing the side not seen from the airport. Rooms are big and comfy with aircon working perfectly. Hot water was always available. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient and fresh. The highlight is definitelly the staff, that was really taking care and helping with our request. When the road to capital was closed due to bridge reconstruction, they even paid a motorbike to lead us the right way :)

VIP House-Praia Francesca er staðsett við ströndina í São Tomé og býður upp á garð og ókeypis WiFi. Location right next to airport so very convenient for arrival. Common mini bus only costs 20 Dobras $1 so easy enough to get to town. Hosts are extremely nice and accommodating.

Residencial Aeroporto er staðsett í São Tomé, 500 metra frá Lagarto-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og bar. Very conveniently located close to the airport with free shuttle. Nice clean rooms with air conditioning. Breakfast included.

Hotel Praia er staðsett í São Tomé, 200 metrum frá Lagarto-strönd. Boðið er upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, líkamsræktarstöð og garði. The breakfast, the staff and the cleanliness. The hotel was peaceful and well looked after.

Located by the beach on Sao Tome Island in the Gulf of Guinea, Omali Lodge provides elegant rooms and free WiFi access. The employees always smiling and very polite with good recommendations. We felt really welcomed! The swimming pool is beautiful and the breakfast was also very good. Overall we had an amazing experience, also received an upgrade as we were on our honey moon.

Gististaðurinn er í São Tomé, Ocean View Guesthouse býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu og aðgangi að garði. Location was wonderful. Laurindo took care of the transfers as it is impossible to use a rental car to get there, and took us, for a fee, to town for dinner one night. There was no charge for our transfer from and to the airport. Laurendino also took us to a supermarket before taking us to the Ocean View. One needs to get groceries. He also was kind to arrange two boat trips to Goat Island. We were lucky to have the whole Guesthouse including the kitchen for ourselves. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Laurendino!

Casa Luis í São Tomé býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði fyrir gesti sem koma akandi. Útisundlaug er á staðnum. Mr Luis was the perfect host. The grounds were beautiful. The place was clean and comfortable. The pool so refreshing and peaceful - perfect for cooling off each night. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Kitchen access was very convenient for preparing meals, along with a nice dining and living room area for relaxing, or socializing with other guests. Luis was always available to address any issues or answer any questions. We were able to keep our bags safely locked at the House while venturing over to Principe for 5 days, then return for another 3 days’ stay at Casa Luis. Luis made our trip to São Tomé seamless, pleasant and memorable.

I really enjoyed my stay at Paradise Água Leve. The room was very comfortable, and the air conditioning made a big difference in the tropical heat. Breakfast was delicious, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing. Overall, a great and relaxing place to stay.

The host was there and he helped me move in, despite the language barrier. The location is great, everything is within walking distance and we felt safe, comfortable and it was clean.
