I admittedly only booked our stay at Kia Lodge because of its proximity to the airport ahead of and after early morning / late flight arrivals, but Kia Lodge was the best maintained and nicest hotel we stayed at during our month-long trip to Tanzania! We were very impressed by the beautiful gardens, beautiful pool with a view of Kili and the spacious + comfortable rooms, not to mention the very attentive and helpful staff! I had been a bit concerned because airport hotels don't always have the best facilities and can be loud, but that was the exact opposite of our experience at Kia - instead of planes, you're serenaded by a variety of birds from across the grounds (I think we heard an elephant at one point too) and made for a very relaxing last day of our trip. A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who arranged perfectly timed transfers & pickups, and offered well balanced meals and a bar to enjoy from the pool.

Airport Planet Lodge tiene vistas al jardín y está en Kingori. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de traslado gratuito, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. Me sorprendió muchísimo la cama, super cómoda y agradable. Pero en general todo era perfecto, el desayuno, el servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto, las instalaciones, tiene gym algo muy importante para nosotros y si haces escalas largas, la verdad que 100% recomendado.

Patience Airport cottages se encuentra a 35 km de Moshi Railway Station y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, terraza y servicio de traslado gratuito. Lovely breakfast and really kind host - the accomodation is simple but really comfortable. Close to the airport, easy going according to check in and check out times. If necessary a transport to the airport can be organised

Safi House está en Boma la Ngombe, a 32 km de Moshi Railway Station y a 41 km de Lake Momella, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, aire acondicionado, jardín y salón de uso común. As a first time traveler to Kilimanjaro, my daughter and I didn’t quite know what to expect from a property that is located on 6 miles from the airport but off the beaten path. We were meet at the airport by a welcoming transport driver. We were pleasantly surprised by the gated villa styled home that was immaculately kept and adorned (from the marble floors to the plush bedding and backyard gazebo). Great WiFi! You can expect a delicious breakfast daily (try the banana soup) and we’d recommend adding the dinner option. You won’t be disappointed. Our hosts were kind & attentive. They treated us like family. We’d definitely return!

East Homestay, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con balcón y hervidor, y está a unos 36 km de Lake Momella.

Lasts minute lodge tiene vistas a la montaña y se encuentra en Boma la Ngombe. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, bar y jardín. Se ofrece wifi gratis. Llegamos súper tarde porque nuestro vuelo al aeropuerto de Kilimanjaro se retrasó y el traslado del aeropuerto proporcionado por el hotel nos esperó por dos horas. Además a pesar de que llegamos como a las 12 de la noche nos ofrecieron una cena por si no habíamos tenido tiempo de cenar en el avión. El personal súper amable, preparados siempre para servirte y encantadores, y todo súper limpio. Al día siguiente después de un maravilloso desayuno hicimos el check out, y nos dejaron quedarnos en las instalaciones lo que quisimos (como 2 o 3 horas) hasta que nos pudieron venir a recoger. Un sitio muy acogedor y tranquilo, ideal para hospedarse tras un largo día de vuelos. Repetiremos!!

Le Parlour está a 28 km de Moshi Railway Station y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. En el bed and breakfast, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. Just wow. It was a very pleasant stay. Especially I think for women who travel alone, it is a very good environment there, but also for everyone else. The host is a women which really take care about her customers. We came late in the evening, and they made us a super delicious evening meal (chicken with rice & stew). The other thing what was really helpful was that they organized us a taxi early in the morning. All in all i can really recommend to stay there, even the pillows were quite nice after a long safari trip with way too hard pillows.
