This is a small but comfortable apartment located in a second floor of a house in East Elmhurst. It is conveniently located close to La Guardia Airport. We used Lyft and it was a $16.00 fare from LGA to the apartment. We were lucky enough to meet the hostess, she was very friendly and we got great suggestions for restaurants around the area and in Astoria, which is not too far from East Elmhurst. She left some goodies for us in the kitchen. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom was well supplied with towels and toiletries. The small living room has a sofa that converts to a full size bed, made more comfortable by adding a thick foam pad and bedding’s. We had a great time in New York and we had a very comfortable stay at this apartment. We highly recommend this hostess, she responded quickly to all of our calls or text.

Soggiornare a Long Island City è ottimo in termini di...
Soggiornare a Long Island City è ottimo in termini di spostamento verso Midtown Manhattan (20' di metro) e contribuisce a contenere un po' i costi di soggiorno, cosa che a ny non è da sottovalutare nel modo più assoluto. La vicinanza di Roosevelt Island (10' a piedi) è un ulteriore punto a favore. Se amate correre, potete uscire dal Resdence Inn Marriott e fare i vostri 9/10 km, facendo il giro completo dell'isola con una vista mozzafiato sull'east river

E' il secondo anno che soggiorniamo nel Queens.
E' il secondo anno che soggiorniamo nel Queens. E' un vivere in modo più local rispetto al soggiornare a Manhattan, e i prezzi sono decisamente più abbordabili. Le linee della metro sono diverse, compresa la 7 che porta direttamente ad Hudson Yards, oppure la possibilità di arrivare a Roosevelt Island in poche fermate, o ancora il collegamento con l'Air Train per l'aeroporto JFK. I servizi della zona sono tantissimi: supermercati di ogni genere (anche aperti H24), ristoranti di ogni cucina, caffetterie, ecc.

Il queens è sempre New York ma con una storia ancora più intensa. Consiglio di andare a vedere la casa di Louis Armstrong, stupenda. Andateci perché merita.
