Coracao Aberto is a completely wonderful oasis! Rosalia and Dimas were the most incredible hosts, not to mention their staff that made us feel like home. They are very welcoming and accommodating. The staff is just as amazing; from the chef Bruna, staff (Agnes, Fernanda and others), manager Barbara, and boat driver Luis. They were all very kind and attentive. Our room was very clean and spacious. We never had to leave for anything. Everything we could ever ask for was there or they made it happen. Definitely take a day out on the boat when you visit – beautiful views and waterfalls. Best private resort ever and we can say we’ve created life-long personal connections with the hosts and all the staff and definitely have a family back in Capitolio! We will be back as soon as possible with extended family.

The property is beautiful, with its own waterfall and trail to explore. The owner is amazing and makes you feel like family—a true mineiro, who loves a good chat and is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and well equipped, with comfortable beds. Our room also had a varanda with a hammock—the perfect place to unwind! The hot breakfast is delicious, with fruits, eggs, cheese, deli meats, and local favorites like cinnamon bread, cakes, broa, pão de queijo, and more!

Preparing an amazing breakfast for us in the morning to start our adventure, and returning back to authentic Brazilian dinner. Each night was something special! Eduardo was more like a friend than a host. Plenty of exotic birds flying around, with a river inside the property.
