The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, the pool was wonderful, and the food was unreal! The place is very clean and you can tell they pay attention to all the small details as well which I appreciated. It does feel more like a hotel with dorms rather than a hostel as it’s not the most social. But it was exactly what I was looking for with some relaxing time!

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and à la carte restaurant and a garden, Tiki Hut Hostel is located just a few steps from Palomino Beach right between Palomino and San Salvador rivers. The time in the hostel was perfect. There are a lot of places to relax, a nice pool area and the drinks and food is really good. They have also a pool table and a ping pong table. They are offering some activities. The private room has a lot of space and everything is clean. We would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful time at Coconuco Beach Resort. It is a quiet oasis just 10 minutes walking distance outside of buzzing Palomino. We really had a great and relaxing time. The rooms are very clean, the premises are well looked after and the staff went out of their way to make this stay a 10/10.

It felt authentic, welcoming, and safe, with friendly locals and a laid-back vibe that made me want to stay longer. This was the ideal base for exploring La Guajira—from Cabo de la Vela to the salt flats of Manaure. Whether you're here to relax or to adventure, this spot is a perfect launchpad. I’ll definitely be back!
