Very good location, right in town but still quiet. Very nice owner that helps out with everything. super clean. we even got a little christmas gift.

Breakfast was delicious and the vibe at the hostel is just so nice. Reminded me of going to hostels ten years ago when it felt like a little community. The owner is a very sweet person so friendly and helpful.

I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.
