We choose this place because it looked quiet and comfortable and we were not disappointed. We wanted to be within easy reach of the ski area at Spitzingsee and this was perfect as it's only 10 minutes up the road to the skiing. Our room has gorgeous views over the lake and at night we could see the lights of Schliersee town strung out along the lake edge. It was very beautiful. Our room (Primerl) had a small seating nook where I sat in the mornings looking out over the lake. Beautifully appointed room, simple but cosy, and incredibly comfortable beds. The area is incredibly quiet. There is a train line running alongside in the distance but the sound is very muted (and we sleep with the windows open) and I quite enjoyed the sight of the little train creeping along the lake by the forest and the call of its horn. Overall very idyllic.

The hotel was set in a beautiful valley with spectacular views. Dirk was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely appointed, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast selection gave plenty of choices. The price made this stay very good value.

Just a 3-minute drive from scenic Lake Tegernsee, this hotel in the Bavarian town of Rottach-Egern offers elegant rooms, gourmet food and a spa with large swimming pool. Big hotel that never seems to be big, thanks to a brilliant layout. Excellent staff, the service level is really high. Good bed, shower, room. Great Spa and Pool area. The separate family spa is brilliant, it keeps the adult only spa quiet but is not lacking in its offering. Probably the best breakfast buffet and à la carte we have had. Dinner at the hotel was really good as well.

The hotel is incredibly comfortable, spacious and clean. The rooms are spacious, with stunning views over the lake and mountains. The staff are welcoming, and the restaurants and bar areas are beautifully laid out. All in all, a wonderful experience. An excellent base for exploring, hiking, and generally enjoying the stunning area.
