Mr Luis was the perfect host. The grounds were beautiful. The place was clean and comfortable. The pool so refreshing and peaceful - perfect for cooling off each night. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Kitchen access was very convenient for preparing meals, along with a nice dining and living room area for relaxing, or socializing with other guests. Luis was always available to address any issues or answer any questions. We were able to keep our bags safely locked at the House while venturing over to Principe for 5 days, then return for another 3 days’ stay at Casa Luis. Luis made our trip to São Tomé seamless, pleasant and memorable.

Due to an unforeseen change of plans, we booked our stay just a few hours before arriving. Joao contacted me right away via WhatsApp to let us know he wouldn’t be there initially, but he made sure someone was expecting us and ready to greet us. This excellent communication continued throughout our stay. Joao’s hospitality was the standout—he was always available for anything we needed and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, bread and eggs, (and even soya yoghurt—which he had gone out especially to get for me as a vegetarian) Our room had a beautiful view of the sea, and we could hear the waves crashing as we fell asleep—I slept really well here. The location is in a village, and although we don’t speak Portuguese, the locals were very friendly. We even enjoyed a drink at the local bar and felt very safe the entire time.

Was introduced to a fantastic guide (Fernando Bragança) who made my trip very enjoyable and is highly recommended. All Mucumbli staff members I met were super friendly and extremely helpful. The sunsets from the balcony of my room were extraordindary. A short walk leads to the beach and shoreline which is wonderful to explore. The staff were very helpful with my luggage transfer as well and went above and beyond expectations. I'm quite sure I will be back at Mucumbli and am looking forward to it.

Pláž Praia Emília je 700 metrů daleko. clean and new rooms, comfy bed, good wifi and A/C, nice pool, but above all great host and staff - they were extremely helpful and fulfilled literally every wish i had :) i'd recommend to go for their rental cars too - the local car rental agencies i had were not very reliable and i got really old cars (but inexpensive, ok) ;)

It is located on a very pretty part of the island really close to a very beautiful beach. There are also only 2 cottages so it’a never busy with people. Great place to relax. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I liked everything and everyone. Dona Helena was a fantastic host. Me and my partner could not ask for a better place. We were safe and blessed to be there. We thoroughly recommend this hotel without a doubt. The food was excellent and fresh. Thank you ever so much for having us. We are coming back for sure.
