However, broadband is available near the main building/restaurant if you can't live without internet. I was able to do a couple of web/video calls to my office early in the morning before going deep into the forest.

A very pleasant stop in the middle of the forest. This property has a magical view of the river, with a simple and welcoming pool area. Regina, the hostess, is an energetic and very friendly woman. Ask Regiane for a caipirinha because it’s delicious. The food is excellent, and there are many tours available. A special mention goes to Daniel, who speaks perfect English and is an extremely skilled guide! Have fun!

What a fantastic time we had staying at the lodge. We hired a brilliant English speaking guide and a boat pilot for the week through the lodge (additional to the accommodation costs) and they organised an itinerary to tour the local area and beyond. The food was great and varied (beef/chicken/pork/fish etc), including local fish that we caught in the day. It was amazing to live in the riverside community if only for a week, and we hope to come back in the wet season when the water is higher and the landscape has changed.

The food was some of the best I have ever had. Fresh homade with a lot of love! I will be returning in the future!
