Rooms were in great shape with modern equipment, comfortable and warm. The kitchen is spacious and provides plenty of everything for cooking and food storage. There is also a coffee machine and free tea. Best of all is the host who was super friendly and helpful. He provided us with great recommendations for daily trips around the island, what to visit, how to get there, popular highlights and germs off the beaten track. His effort was just amazing. We enjoyed our stay here very much. During 8 months of travels this was one of the best hostels we stayed at, and we would come back to the place at any time.

This is really a wonderful place, super clean, cozy but with good common areas, amazing comfortable beds and warm at night. Safe location and easy to walk up the nearby hill right into the center of downtown Castro. It was always very quiet here, especially at night. A nice experience to stay in a palofito (stick house).

I loved everything about this Hostal...The location was perfect-across the street from the bus station....My room was large and clean and sleep quality was excellent...In this Hostal guests have the use of the kitchen where coffee,tea and hot water are always available...The staff really made my stay enjoyable.I want to mention Richard who was very helpful to me,even telephoning the next place I was going to in order to confirm my reservation....I want to mention Ricardo at the reception desk also....Ricardo,from Italy 🇮🇹, was also friendly and helpful...This is a lovely place to stay...Top marks...10 out of 10

I was cold, so she brings me an other blanket and an hot water bottle. Also, she gave me good advice for visiting Chiloé. At her and her husband’s house you feel at home! Thank you so much

El Urco Chiloé - Hostal y Cabaña se nachází v destinaci Ancud a poskytuje zahradu a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. Všechny pokoje mají balkon s výhledem do zahrady. I loved my stay here. The room was huge and comfortable. Lots of covers, sheets, duvets to keep you warm. Very quiet area, perfect for a good sleep. The view from the room was super nice - looked out over the water and the cemetery. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, etc and the basic cooking supplies were very helpful (Oil, salt). There was tea and coffee available which is also a nice touch. Bathrooms were well, hot shower, clean, well stocked. I would recommend staying here. And only a ten min walk to the bus station !
