Our first stop in Sumatra was at Lilly's Guesthouse, where we were very warmly welcomed by her and her husband Ishako. From the first moment we felt welcome and completely at home. We booked a two-day jungle trek. Our adventure began on the second day after our arrival, together with our guide Iman and a French couple, Carolane and Romain. There was immediately a nice click, and so we trekked into the jungle together. Blood, sweat, but no tears - what an experience! Without Iman, the trek would definitely not have been the same. What a top guy! After two days of trekking and a night's sleep in the middle of the jungle, we arrived safely back at the guesthouse. How happy we were to finally shower again and sleep in a comfortable bed! As icing on the cake, we also enjoyed a wonderful massage - how good that felt! After that we wanted to travel on to Lake Toba, and coincidentally that was also Lilly's plan with her family. Transportation was completely arranged by them, and together we traveled to our next destination. Along the way, we had lunch together, took the same ferry and once again shared beautiful, enjoyable moments. In Tuktuk our paths parted, as we had each booked our own guesthouse, but we met up a few more times. Each time it was a warm reunion! What we really want to say: we felt like one of them. The location is beautiful, right on the shore of the lake with a lovely view. There's an on-site cafe that serves good breakfasts, and the coffee is great too. Our room was clean and comfortable. They also offer scooter rentals and a laundry service, which is very convenient. The staff was excellent, and I want to give a special mention to Mr. Rahman, who was incredibly kind. Highly recommended!

Mila Homestay se nachází v destinaci Padang a nabízí terasu. Siti Nurbaya Bridge je 10 km daleko a Mount Talang 47 km. Dila was an exceptional host. I think this is the first time I know I'm definitely visiting a destination again just because of the accommodation experience I've had.

Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.

SeaGate Bungalows se nachází v destinaci Sabang a nabízí zahradu, soukromou pláž, terasu a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. Na místě budete mít k dispozici termální koupel a pronájem auta. Úplně vše - určitě naše nejlepší ubytování při cestování po Sumatře a ostrově Weh a jen stěží ho něco překoná. Dostatečně velký pokoj s koupelnou ve které teče horká voda, na pokoji lednice, možnost horké vody na kafe a čaj, klimatizace. Pokoj s koupelnou velmi vkusně zařízen a perfektně čistý. K tomu krásná terasa s výhledem na moře. Navíc super kamarádský majitelé se svým neúnavným malým synem, kteří se o vás postarají jak ve vašich požadavcích, tak vám poskytnou i spousty informací k cestování po ostrově a dají vám tipy na výlety a restaurace. Nicméně nelze zapomenout i na jejich restauraci přímo vedle apartmánu, kde podávají vynikající snídaně a skvělé večeře přímo na přání. K tomu i plno ovoce a skvělé černé kafe.

Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys se nachází v destinaci Bukit Lawang a poskytuje zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a bar. The location is very nice, a beautiful garden and close to a river to swim. We did the 3 day, 2 night tour in the jungle and we enjoyed it a lot. The nights are heavy, but very cool to sleep in the jungle. We saw lots of monkeys and learnt a lot from the guides. Also the people in the guest house were very helpful and nice!

Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe se nachází u moře v destinaci Bukit Lawang a poskytuje zahradu a terasu. Na místě vám mohou zařídit dopravu na letiště. We had the most amazing time at Kupu Kupu. The guesthouse is so beautiful, the rooms are very clean and well-designed and the food is incredible. With the jungle at the doorstep, we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watch the monkeys play in the trees - it felt like we were in paradise! After two nights at the guesthouse, we did a 3 day / 2 night jungle trek our guides Wanda and Juli, which was an incredible experience. Wanda has so much knowledge about the jungle and all the living beings in it - he had a story to tell about any animal or plant we found, we enjoyed our talks with him so much! Both guides took very good care of us and always made us feel safe and well! After rafting (fun!!!) back to Kupu Kupu on the last day of our trek, we stayed at the guesthouse for one more night to relax and process our experience 🌿 Special thanks to Arif for organising everything for us (helping us with the itinerary from the airport and onwards to our next destination, picking us up from the town and organising the jungle trek) and to Risky for making us feel right at home 🙏

Opravdu nádherné místo, veškerý komfort a zároveň uprostřed přírody. Majitel i personál byly velmi milý, se vším nápomocný a jelikož jsme byli jediní hosté, užívali jsme si nejenom ticha, výhledu a opic, ale i výletů do džungle které pro nás organizovali. Přímo v hotelu se můžete i najíst, vaří výborně, nebo ochutnat některý z připravených nápojů. Vřele doporučujeme! A všem ve Valley děkujeme za krásný pobyt a zážitky. Cítili jsme se zde jako doma.
