Port Aran House is beautifully and tastefully decorated, and you really feel good staying there. The kitchen is clean, and you can cook something if you like. Breakfast was outstanding: excellent homemade bread, scones, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, butter, jams, yogurts, eggs ... We truly felt at home, and the host was exceptionally friendly, giving us plenty of great tips on where to go in the evening and which cycling routes to take. The best advice he gave us was when we asked whether we should wait in our rooms for better weather. He said: "Those who wait never see the sun." And he was right: it rained for 20 minutes, and then the sun came out, and we swam on a stunning tropical beach. I warmly recommend staying here.

I traveled alone to Inishmor and stayed a week with Geraldine and Thomas — and I cannot think of better and kinder hosts. The breakfasts were great; the house and room was spotless and the location perfect in “downtown” Kilronan. A wonderful and memorable visit! Thank you Geraldine and Thomas!
