Was invited for a birthday drink and driven to the port at departure. Arranged a mountain tour with a private driver. The large room and lovely big terrace were very neat and tidy. Well-equipped kitchen. Everything spotless. Can warmly recommend this place.

Kasa d'Vizin se nachází v destinaci Paul a poskytuje bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a pokoje s klimatizací. Všechny pokoje mají balkon. Kasa was extremely comfortable, modern, and well-designed. Food portions were very generous, excellent wifi, and there was also free drinking water (instead of having to buy small bottles all the time). Ana helped with planning my hikes and organizing a guide. It's not too long a walk to Paul to catch the aluguers though it's important to keep in mind the island is huge and it takes time and money to get around. I regretted moving to another area b/c I really loved my stay here.

Location is flawless - on a quiet street, but just off the main road. Aluguars stop virtually opposite the property and are very frequent, both going up the Paul Valley and along the coastal road. There is a little mini market just around the corner, open until 20:00. The owner is super - helpful and able to advise on all the best walks in the area. He suggested a much better walk than the one we initially wanted to do; he had maps and suggested places to eat. The room was very comfortable, clean, and the balcony was a nice bonus. The kitchen area is really nice, half al-fresco. All the staff were lovely and kind and very helpful. The internet works fine - there are 2 networks to choose from. I was also very grateful to have access to a guest fridge in the kitchen area. We regretted cancelling one of the 2 nights we'd initially wanted to stay and only staying 1. For bonus points, there is also a little 8-week-old puppy :)

Really good place, in the middle of the village. Meals are perfect with good quantities. The view is also magical, and can provide you the rare opportunity to see whales ! Something you don’t want to miss ! The owner is really nice, and will provide you good advices.

Kasa Tambla se nachází v destinaci Ponta do Sol a poskytuje zahradu, terasu, bar a výhled na město. Na místě je dostupné Wi-Fi zdarma ve všech prostorách. The host was very kind and helpful, he speaks English and French. The breakfast also was great! Would definitely stay here next time !

Vila Babosa se nachází v destinaci Porto Novo a nabízí venkovní bazén, zahradu, terasu a ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a výhledem na moře. We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

Where do I start? This place is fabulous, but even more fabulous are the hosts! Margaret and her lovely family make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. She's super attentive, cares about her guests and treated us like royalty. She prepares a magnificent breakfast every day, all home made and with local products, most from her own garden. She gave us very good advice on what to visit, which hikes to do and the best logistics to enjoy our time on the island. She pointed us to a festivity in the village nearby and recommended nice places to enjoy local food and drinks. And she cooked dinner for us every evening, every time a different dish, including a typical local stew and the famous cachupa. Everything was DELICIOUS! The house has a glorious view of the valley and the mountains in the background are just unbelievable, they seem to be taken straight out of a fantasy book! The dining area has a massive open window to the scenery and the room we had also had a big window with the same view. The location is perfect: quiet and conveniently close to Ribeira Grande, Paúl and Ponta su Sol. It was very easy to reach by car and we do recommend anyone who can afford the rental price to drive up to Margaret's house and park right in front. The roads are safe and driving is easy. There's practically no traffic and it's simple to move around. If you cannot afford a car, Margaret is also happy to give you information on how to reach her place with private transport or public, collective transport. She's just wonderful and she'll make you feel at home! Finally, the room was comfortable, clean and we had a very good sleep every night! I hope to come back soon, I left a piece of my heart here! Casa Au Bonheur des Randonneurs se nachází v destinaci Ponta do Sol v oblasti Santo Antão a poskytuje balkon a výhled na město. I am writing this review 21.2.2023, more than 1 month after the end of my trip to Cabo Verde, so I will not remember all details: Best was the comfort of the bed. Probably the best bed in all the many hotels and appartments. Great sleeping comfort in the double bed. I stayed alone there, it would have been a nice place for a group though. No idea if the other beds are as comfi. Very tasteful design of interior. It is a nice place to stay for a night or two, when doing hiking around. Seems every now and then there are some parties / events also.

Isa was always making sure that everything was going well and even made sure to book all the activities for us. Really good food as well.
