Tampere Maja offers accommodation in an 18th century wooden house in the heart of the Old Town of Tartu. There is a cultural club in the cellar, showing exhibitions of Estonian and Finnish art. First of all I want to express my compliments to the friendly and communicative staff. The girls are proud of their house and know how to feel people welcome. They are very easy going and helpful. The hotel has got only seven rooms. The wooden building is one of the oldest in Tartu and hosts exhibitions by local artists in a freely accessible gallery on the ground floor. Breakfast buffet was small, but there were several choices to make everybody happy. The apple juice is amazing. My room was is the upper floor with a beautiful view on the garden and the neighborhood.

The place was clean, quite, on the first floor with nice terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast. There is AC which helped a lot during hot days. Shower with all essentials - even toothbrush! I think its very thoughtful of the host to leave some nice things for guests to use such as coffee, sugar, tea or salt. Really enjoyed our stay!

A few hundred meters from the bus station and within walking distance of the most important attractions and monuments, as well as the Hansa Tall & Hansa Hoov restaurant where they serve delicious Estonian food. Remote check-in and check-out. I highly recommend it!
