After the initial hustle and chaos of India, staying at Mountainview Homestay is a welcome place to unwind. Asfal and his friends are friendly and easy to talk to, and they give great tips on what to see and do in the area. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. Waking up to a view of the green trees, with a cup of good coffee is pure bliss. It’s incredibly peaceful, with the occasional playful troop of monkeys on the roof to break the silence, peeking curiously at you as they play. In short, the perfect spot to recharge before diving back into colorful, bustling India. P.S. Asfal also helped us with the next leg of our trip. He arranged a taxi driver to take us to the Alleppey, and along the way shared lots about the history of Kerala and India, tea plantations, and Hinduism. We made several stops and got to try local sweets – highly recommended!

For us, Guestland Homestay was simply perfect: in a quiet location, authentic + delicious breakfast, great spacious rooms, the greatest staff ever, always ready to help, and near both touristy and non-touristic areas, yoga studios, sea front, fantastic restaurants, bike rental. Guestland Homestay is a place that makes you wish you could stay longer.

Home made breakfast was excellent. Close to all locations. This place situated across from Kunti Madhavaswami temple. All other temples are with in walkable distance or a short ride away on very hot day.

Staying at vrindavan was an actual dream. The rooms were lovely, good ac, comfy beds, modern toilets, yoga space and outdoor communal area in the garden. But all these things were extra in compassion to the hosts. Anand and his family are such lovely people, everything was so easily organized for us and nothing was too much trouble. The boating (highly recommend the sunrise canoe) was so cool, and we could go right from the property through the canals to the lake. The food was actually out of this world, getting such an authentic array of dishes through out our stay. We stayed over the Christmas period and Anand organized a Christmas party, decorated the place and got Christmas cake for everyone. This stay is one of our highlights from our whole trip in India. If we come back to kerala we will definitely be coming again.

We had an amazing experience staying at Shankar Homestay during our trip to Hampi. It’s one of the best homestays we’ve come across in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and the overall vibe. The rooms were spotless, with beautiful interiors, soft and cozy bedsheets, comfortable blankets, and warm lighting. They even provided toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. Everything felt well-maintained and worth every penny. The outdoor area felt like a mini farmhouse—clean, peaceful, and with a charming village-like vibe. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring Hampi. The hosts, Ramu and his wife Kavitha, were amazing. They were friendly, warm, and always ready to help, which made us feel right at home. The location is great—away from the noisy tourist areas but just a 4-minute drive to all the main attractions in Hampi. A special mention goes to Mr. Anjaneya, or Anji, a family friend of the hosts. He drove us around in his auto-rickshaw and was more than just a driver—he was like a guide. He took us on a tour of Hampi, suggested the best places to eat non-veg food, and even helped us rent a bike. His tips and guidance made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Shankar Homestay is a perfect blend of comfort, great hospitality, and a peaceful vibe. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hampi!
