They treated us like their own children—they are truly wonderful people. The breakfast was delicious; Pearl is an amazing cook, and Ranjan joined us for a walk around the area. The location has a history, and the property was only modified as a guest house while keeping the old design. It is unique because of that. The area around the property is very quiet and very green, with many different types of trees/spices. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager (Christo). He contacted us before we arrived to make sure everything was arranged. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable.

He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

A bit off the beaten path, but an easy walk or trishaw ride to town. Its location was a plus since it was peaceful and serene. The owner helped arrange a guide to Knuckles Forest Reserve. The meals were also delicious and authenticity Sri Lankan. We would definitely stay here again.
