My friend and I stayed in the apartment from March 31, 2025, to April 3, 2025. The apartment is in an excellent location, right by the sea and close to the city center. We could walk to both St. Julian’s and the harbor for Valletta. Even though we arrived after midnight due to our late flight, we received all the necessary instructions a day in advance via WhatsApp. We were given the access codes for both the entrance and our room. The entrance and reception area are beautifully and elegantly designed, resembling a luxurious hotel, with plenty of sculptures and an imitation of a flowering tree. Whenever we needed something, like a towel, we received it promptly. Our flight was scheduled for quite late in the evening, but since check-out was at 11 AM, they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the reception until 5 PM. Monika was always helpful whenever we needed anything. She is a very kind and hospitable woman, and on our last day before departure, we had a lovely chat with her about Malta. She also shared useful insights about life on the island. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio and Monika as an excellent host!

For the breakfast alone I would give this review an 11/10 or 12/10. The experience was breathtaking. You get a choice between 3 breakfasts: English, Continental, and Omelette. The host does an amazing job preparing the entire breakfast, along with the delicious fruit salad with exotic fruits. The breakfast experience is on a rooftop with a magnificent view of Marsaxlokk. It's certainly a memorable breakfast! Otherwise, the location is great, you're right next to the town market. It's not that far to hike to the nearby fort to the south or to the famous beaches to the east. The room is quite clean, modern, with a nice, warm shower. You don't get a key, just an access code that works on the front door and room door, which is convenient. The A/C and the wifi were also working fine.

Monica met us at the property and communication was 100%. She was very attentive to our needs and was above expectations. The location was perfect with shopping close by and two balconies was a plus! Very comfortable stay for two.

Featuring free WiFi, Portside Lodge offers apartments in Marsaskala and a rooftop terrace. Valletta is 6 km from the property. The nearest beaches can be reached on foot. Its very clean, well furnished hotel, with very kind personal. We had everything we need on the kitchen, and received even upgraded appartement compare to the booking we made. The water temperature in the pool was 31 degrees, what was very comfortable in November, usually its colder in other hotels. Our kid was really happy with that! Location is pretty calm, view on the sea, with short distance cafes, supermarkets etc. In short - highly recommended hotel, cost its money. Thank you!
