He knows a lot about birds and took me around some gems in Entebbe, including a boat ride to a random island that marks the equator point. His home cooked meals are delicious and very large portions. Also, the accommodation is a very unique, eco-friendly architecture. Will miss this place a lot!

Precious Guesthouse is set in Entebbe, 500 metres from Legends Night Club and 600 metres from Nakumatt Supermarket (Victoria Mall - Entebbe). Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. A little oasis! It’s not a huge place so it doesn’t get the hustle and bustle of a big hotel. It offers more privacy and is quiet and safe. A perfect location upon landing at the airport that morning and the pick up at the airport was so appreciated. Location is good. It’s a 10 minute walk to the mall and grocery store (Carrefour) to get everything you need for your safari - SIM card, currency exchange, water, adaptor, snacks. The staff were lovely! The on-site restaurant has a view and excellent food. We ate there both nights because it was so good. Try the pizza, the soup and the yakitori. If you go to the botanical garden the entrance is across the street. Ask for the guide named Bright. He’s has a degree in biology and is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals. There is an entrance fee and a fee for the guide. Make sure you get a good guide.
