Before our arrival we ran into roadblocks and arrived at the place at 23.30 hrs. Check in slot had already passed but the owner waited for us. Next day he helped us with our desert trip. They also helped us qith booking transport. We left early in de morning but they already had made us coffee. They made sure that the bus stopped at their place for us to board. Such nice people!

Luna del Desierto was great for my short stay in Villavieja. The rooms were spacious and clean, the facilities were great, and the dog Luna was adorable. Kudos to the staff, including Andrea, for being super friendly and helpful with everything related to Tatacoa! Really made to feel at home.

Casa Hotel Estelar se nachází v destinaci Villavieja a má venkovní bazén, sdílený lounge a bar. Toto ubytování nabízí pokojovou službu, nepřetržitě otevřenou recepci a organizaci výletů. Krásný novy hotel, s velkým bazénem, všude čist0, klimatizace pohodlně postele, takový komfort není v Kolumbii zvykem, snídaně byla super a dokonce mi vyhověli i s vegetariánskou variantou bez vajíček. Personál hotelu je moc milý a vždy napomocný. Doporučuji si booknout tour na poušť přímo na hotelu, stojí to stejně jako tuktuk ale mate s sebou i skvělého průvodce :)

The pillows were comfortable and I had a great sleep. I also liked that the property is a little more isolated than some others, they were kind enough to turn off the lights so we could view the starry sky. Breakfast was delicious.

The staff was really nice. It's located 500 m from the observatory (there are 5 observatories in Tatacoa desert) which is convenient if you want to do the star gazing. It's also 5 min walk from a few restaurants. They offer breakfast, luncb and dinner for a small charge. They rent bikes and offer a tour to the Grey and Red desert which we took as it was nice hearing about the fornations, how the desert (or rather dry tropical forest) came to be. There's a lot of different types of birds in the garden. Since it's in a desert, there's no electricity, meaning there's no fridge, but they have ice available if you want to cool your drinks. There's no wifi which we didn't mind as it was nice to relax and just enkoy the nature. Staff was very helpful with organizing the transport back to Villaviejas. The room was nice and quite spacious, clean, but very hot (which is to be expected in the middle of the desert). There's a fan in the room.

The peace and quiet. And the staff. Rafael was always ready to help with a positive attitude. Newton and Carmen the administrators were very friendly and helpful.

The staff are so nice and helpful. They offer really great tours to the desert and also a cheap breakfast with more options than the usual eggs! Nice communal sitting area on the terrace and a water filter so you don't have to keep buying bottles.

Hostal Makesa Tatacoa se nachází v destinaci Villavieja a nabízí ubytování s TV s plochou obrazovkou. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště a dostupné je také bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech... Byly jsme s kamarádkou mimo sezónu, mohly jsme si vybrat pokoj, který se nám líbil. Vše čisté Ubytovatelé velmi ochotní, nápomocní, se vším poradili. Výborná snídaně. Zajistili nám výlet do pouště i collectivo, když jsme odjížděly. Dokonce nás odvezli na zastávku, odkud collectivo odjíždělo. Mohu všem doporučit!!
