A real place to stay if you intend to visit Portela in Chá das Caldeiras.

The room was about perfect. It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight. We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.

TCHAN LOVe se nachází v destinaci Portela a má restauraci, dětský klub, bar, zahradu, terasu, dětské hřiště a výhled na město. The location is perfect. Right at the start for the hike to Fogo. The location in booking is (as of today) not correct, its right in the center of the village. But the owners are superfriendly and can send you the details via WhatsApp. I arrived late because I was hiking till sunset and he waited outside on the street, and after check in I got a really delicious meal. The room has 3 comfy beds, enough plugs to charge and extra blankets. The bathroom is modern and has a shower (unlucky only with cold water). In the main building there are tables and chairs and a small bar. There is beer, wine, softdrinks, water.... Everything is clean and the WiFi works great. Breakfast is included, but I didn't use it as I was out hiking. From the house you have perfect views of Fogo. I can really recommend this place.

Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Casa Adriano & Filomena se nachází v destinaci Portela a nabízí bar. Tento bed and breakfast nabízí neplacené soukromé parkoviště a sdílenou kuchyň. Adriano and Filomena welcomed our group of 4 people in their house. The place was perfect for us: great location, wonderfull view on the caldeira and on the volcano, quality of the staff, size of the room, good food made by them. They have done everything to feel at home. Take time to discuss with Adriano, he has many stories to tell you about the caldeira and about Fogo. Thanks Adriano and Filomena for these days on another planet !

Pensao Zé Doce se nachází v destinaci Portela a nabízí bar. Tento bed and breakfast poskytuje zahradu, neplacené soukromé parkoviště a možnost vlastního stravování. Koupelna je vybavená sprchou. The location is amazing. The room was clean and functional. Food was healthy, and portions were big. Jose helped us planning our hikes around. I highly recommend ! Oh, there is two super cute cats.

Great location, at the foot of the volcano and in the middle of the village. If you choose to eat there, food is really great and you are welcome at the host’s.

Casa Ze & sonia se nachází v destinaci Portela a poskytuje bezplatné Wi-Fi, neplacené soukromé parkoviště a výhled na hory. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

Pensão Repouso Alegre Turismo e Aventura se nachází v destinaci Portela a nabízí zahradu, terasu a výhled na hory. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Jose was good company. Fogo Boutique Hotel se nachází v destinaci São Filipe a poskytuje ubytování s venkovním bazénem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, zahradou a sdíleným loungem. Pláž Playa Sao Filipe je 1 km daleko. At first, we were a bit hesitant due to a few very harsh negative reviews, despite the majority being positive. That's why we wanted to share our own experience. We stayed in the Sal Room, the most affordable option at the hotel, and for €90, everything was perfect. The view alone was worth the price, not to mention the warm and genuinely welcoming staff, who seemed even happier to host us than we were to be there. Fogo Boutique Hotel is a small oasis on the island. While there are some limitations, it is undoubtedly the best option in the region. We will definitely be back!
