Our stay in Haus Stehlings Monschau was perfect! The key collection was very easy, and the communication with the host was equally simple. He gave us perfect directions regarding car parking, and kindly sent a message via WhatsApp, right after our arrival, to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything. We also felt warmly welcomed by the thoughtful gesture of the "printen" (a must-have local gingerbread) on our beds. :) Our two-bedroom family room (Castle Room) was large, clean, comfortable and had a jaw-dropping view of the fairytale town of Monschau. Located right in the middle of the historic area, we were able to walk all around. We also walked to the shops/supermarket that are about 3 km away, in town. I highly recommend this property. We made this reservation at the last minute after driving the Nurburgring. It was soon clear that we picked the best spot near the ring- all of the regular drivers were ALSO staying there! The concierge put us up in a ground-floor room, and steered us toward the restaurant, which has good history and great food. Bonus: We could see a castle!

Easy walk to the town with a selection of excellent restaurants and a great place to explore Ahr Valley a bit further (we did a walk through the local vineyards for example).
