They make little cakes during the day so you can have a sweet treat and the staff is lovely.

Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Very helpful staff and great breakfast.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. We loved our stay here!! We were very well welcomed. Beautiful warm rooms with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Super great location.

The hotel is walking distance from the city center. new owners. will definitely come back.
