The place is literally on the river, I spent every morning half an hour sitting on the porch looking at the birds. We booked a tour at the place, going along the river, to Playa Blanca, and Livingstone, which was not too expensive and very nice. The food was good as well.

When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.

Freshly cooked pancake breakfast was included, the kitchen is well equipped and very clean. The owners are so kind and helpful, make you feel very welcome. The facilities are all well maintained and there is even a pool to take a dip in! Far enough from the main road that it is peaceful but only a 2-3 minute walk.

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante se nachází v destinaci Rio Dulce a poskytuje zahradu, sdílený lounge, bar a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. + Location is 10/10. Never mind staying directly on the lake, this is is located along a tributary and it is so beyond peaceful! + The staff are SO friendly and really want to make your stay the best! + Free pick up and drop off via boat at specific times (I had to leave at 6am, so had to pay 50Q, but I expected this). + I stayed in the private double with en-suite. It’s located away from the main building, so peaceful, and the bed was super comfy + Expected tonnes of mosquitos, but actually it wasn’t too bad at all, just bring repellent

Finca Tatin Hotel se nachází v destinaci Lámpara a má venkovní bazén, fitness centrum, zahradu a sdílený lounge. Finca Tatin is a beautiful place to stay! It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle but you’re also right next to the river. They have family dinners every night which is a good time to meet new people and the staff are soooooo nice!

Linda Vista se nachází v destinaci Rio Dulce a poskytuje služby concierge, nekuřácké ubytování, venkovní bazén, bezplatné Wi-Fi a bar. Jen 11 km odtud je Castillo de San Felipe de Lara. This was the best place I stayed in my three weeks in Guatemala! Should've come here first. I appreciated how clean my room and bathroom were! Great A/C and a ceiling fan. The bedroom window had a screen. The young ladies were always helpful and friendly! They call for a tuk-tuk if you need one. As a bonus, they said the 8am boat to Rio Dulce picks up right at the property dock, so no need to go into town.
