There are so many reasons to stay here, #1 being the family themselves. They are very friendly, all around good people. They were super welcoming, helped us with all of our plans and even invited us to join for dinner when it started raining. It was great to practice our Spanish (we are learning) and Angel was a very good teacher, helping us to improve. They made us a different breakfast each morning, including homemade tortillas. Would for sure stay here again if we found ourselves back in Guatemala. Thanks for everything!

Traveled in Guatemala with my 2 daughters to celebrate my 50th birthday. Posada Woochooch is beautiful and is a safe little family hotel. It has a peaceful and beautiful garden. We loved the location, not too touristy, it was quiet but close to everything. Communication with staff was great. The family who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Every day their sweet dog Rocco would welcome us. We had a shared bathroom, but everything was kept very clean so it really didn't matter. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing in Chirris Hostel in San Juan. The hostel is super small and cosy, the common kitchen and space are so cute, it feels like home. I stayed both in the private room and then the dorm is also perfect, , only 3 beds and spacy, so this is the perfect option if you want to save some money. Everything is super clean and convenient. Andrea and Marta are adorable people, they help you out with anything and are so kind. I 100% recommend staying here for your trip to lake Atitlan!

Casa Llemo has a lovely homely feel and the family that run it are super welcoming and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the included breakfast is delicious. You’d struggle to find something better value. Julio also helped us with a shuttle onwards to El Salvador, and offered the cheapest price I could find. Huge thanks to Julio and the family!

It‘s a wonderful place with a super relaxed atmosphere! They offer yoga & dance classes at the place! I really loved taking part in the salsa & bachata class! You feel welcomed by both hosts and the beds are super comfortable!

The view at this property is genuinely unparalleled with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the volcanoes. The balcony is framed in stunning honeysuckle and tropical flowers that bring hummingbirds right next to you and this is the closest thing to being in nature while still benefitting from the creature comforts of an indoor stay. We didn’t want to move from the chaise beds in front of the window- particularly because the hosts considered and provided so many thoughtful details to enhance the experience (like delicious fluffy bathrobes to enjoy as we drank our morning coffee looking out over Lake Atitlán). We appreciated the yoga mats and the open floor plan that allowed us to do some Barre3 in front of the view with the doors open to bring in the breeze. Even the lighting was extraordinarily thoughtful- with multicolored LEDs enhancing the foliage at night and sound activated lighting that really created some awesome ambiance. And, the host was truly wonderful too, allowing us a later check out so we could properly pack up before our afternoon tour plans in San Juan La Laguna. This was a tremendous value and such an awesome place- we were sad to leave and would stay there again in a hot second when we get to return to San Marcos.

One of our favorite places to stay over 4 months travel to Central America. The location is amazing, in a small town that sees very little tourism, at the foot of Attilan volcano and right on the lake. The grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely pool and fantastic organic garden and plenty of hammocks. The restaurant is fabulous, we loved everything we ate, from the well served breakfasts to tasty and fresh salads, soups and fish, with almost everything sourced in their own organic garden. The staff are all kind and helpful and very well trained (the waiters also double as guides for the hikes which is nice). There seems to be real pride in working here.

It's a hotel with private rooms but offers hostel service in a room with beds and divisions. Hotel is nice, clean, has security cameras, bed was confortable, service is absolutely great, they provide towels & toiletries, coffee in the morning, not to close from the main street but very affordable plus has parking.
