We stayed 4 night in this villa and our stay was more than fantastic!!! The host Shameera is such a great and wonderful guy. The villa is located in a very green garden with a lot of space around the building. You can sit on the veranda and look for hours only in the garden and you will see real nature with different flowers, trees, animals etc. It was so relaxing!! :-) The breakfast is served by the host every morning on the veranda outside and it contains day by day different local specialties with a wonderful taste. Also his hints, what to to in the surroundings and possible activities are great and useful. Thank you once again for hosting us in your small escape from normal life, Shameera. The hotel is located in one of the most picturesque areas in Ahangama opening up to the sea. Whichever room option you select, you are guaranteed an amazing view of the ocean. The hotel is situated next to probably the most amazing beach as well. You can swim here for hours on end as the waves are sort of calm because of the natural breakwater created by the rocks around. The service is immaculate. We had butler-like service answering to our every need. The waiting staff during the meals were also super friendly and attentive. We loved taking all of our meals at the property. The food was also delicious and one of our highlights during the stay – particularly the dinner from the a la carte menu. This hotel is just one of those we can have more of in the coast of Sri Lanka. The people, food and views all combined to make our stay super memorable.

The owner was super friendly ! He also helped us with the adapter ! The breakfast was super big and good ! They are currently finishing the work for the swimming pool I think that in a few days the place will be even better

Location was perfect for all BENTOTA & surrounding activities. The beach was just across the river for which the owner provided a free boat service. The property was very well maintained, clean & comfortable. The deck facing the river was the icing on the cake. Owner couple were so friendly & accomodating. The breakfast was too good & fresh. Amber house also has a great menu for meals. The swimming pool was cool & clean.
