Josef is one of the most kindest person we’ve met in Bukit Lawang and trekking with him is fun with lots of learning as he has extensive knowledge of the forest plants and location of animals as he usually monitors the area. It was a unique experience where we could view orangutans without any other tourist around. He also personally helps the local farmers with proceeds from trekking and this in turn helps create a healthy environment between the people, tourists, and animals here. Amenities : Food in on-site restaurant is amazing and freshly prepared. Toilet is also one of the cleanest I’ve seen so far. View & Location : beautiful jungle and river view and surrounded by durian and other trees. Josef gave us a few durians freshly dropped on ground : very delicious!There’s a combination of deep and low pools in the river within walking distance. Water is as beautiful as it can be.
