Yala Mobile Camping inside the National Park se nachází v destinaci Katagamuwa v oblasti Hambantota District a nabízí neplacené soukromé parkoviště. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay inside Yala National Park, a rare and exceptional experience, as mobile camping is often unavailable in other parks. We initially had reservations about staying in the heart of the jungle, but this concern was quickly forgotten—the location is absolutely amazing, offering the real jungle experience we were seeking, free from the usual human or vehicle noise. This truly is the best place in the area, situated immediately next to the park, where we were delighted to see a wide variety of birds around the camp, and a nearby lake yielded incredible sightings, including four elephants and numerous crocodiles. The overall service and culinary experience were exceptional. The incredibly friendly staff always worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable, and we truly appreciated their efforts, understanding that running a camp inside the National Park means they cannot offer the same luxuries as conventional hotels. Sara, the manager, is a good and brave person to successfully run this challenging operation with his dedicated team. The food was a major highlight and truly the most delicious we had in Sri Lanka. The chef prepared the food exactly to our preference, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond when we requested Halal food by personally showing us their preparations. The glamping tent was spacious and well-made, and we enjoyed a delightful BBQ around a bonfire. Our full-day safari was very successful; we were lucky enough to spot two leopards and elephants, making for an impressive wildlife experience. A memorable moment occurred when a leopard approached close to our tent in the evening—we suspect the aroma of our cooking meat might have been the attraction! Overall, the seamless operation, high standard of service, excellent food, and the thrill of the jungle proximity made this a truly remarkable stay.

This was a delightful homestay in a small cabana adjacent the family home. I travelled solo a few days and decided to stay here, and am so glad to have found this gem. From the warm welcome, to the amazing food, to the lagoon safari to getting to know the lovely granddaughter who had a few days off school - I felt safe & secure with my comfort being their priority - I felt spoiled!! A heartfelt thank you, and I hope to return again.

Turtle Wood Cabin se nachází v Tangalle a poskytuje zahradu, soukromou pláž, terasu, bar a výhled do zahrady. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Ubytování leží opravdu pár metrů od pláže. Pláž je přírodní rezervací pro želvy, během dne tu můžete pozorovat malé želvičky, večer za poplatek i velké želvy. Nedá se zde koupat, stačí ale popojít ke kamenným jezírkům kde je to už možné. Postel pohodlná, koupelna čistá.

Mallara RestSafari (Cabana & Family Restaurant) nabízí zahradu, terasu a dopravu zdarma. Udawalawe národní park je 42 km odtud. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Had a wonderful experience staying at the RestSafari. The place is set up in a big area where one can rest comfortably, and looks out on the jungle, where many animals (mainly buffaloes, peacocks, elephants, varanes, foxes) pass by during the day/night. Owners (and staff) are taking good care and are very friendly & relaxed. Nice campfires and surprisingly few mosquitoes. Slept really well in the cabana (great experience!) in a nice, natural breeze, and my room had a nice viewing spot to lay down and look out over the jungle area. Possible to take safari’s from here. The food/drinks served were also real good. Happy to have stayed/rested here. For directions: many (if not all) busses from Ella/Wellawaya to Matara/Tissamaharama will pass close by the RestSafari. Get off at 22 Junction (bus drivers know). It will cost about Rs. 200-350, and from the Junction you can take a local bus, tuktuk or arrange something with the RestSafari.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Big Game Yala - by Eco Team is located on the edge of Yala National Parks, a 20-minute drive from the Katagamuwa park entrance. - The staff were superb! - The tent was comfortable and in good size! - the morning ginger biscuits were nice!

Beautiful one night stay where we very much enjoyed the complimentary afternoon walk where we saw monkeys, monitor lizards, peacocks, crocodiles snd some incredible birds with our guides being so knowledgable and informative. The evenings meal under the nights sky could not have been more beautiful and our tents were super comfy. It was a very special experience and as a family we loved it and will be back. A big thank you goes out to the team for taking such good care of us.
