The lodge has hiking trails. I enjoyed two day solo walk. Well maintained and easy to walk, except river trail. I met only few people on the trail and i was able to enjoy the solitude.
I appreciate Greivin at reception helping me to arrange transportation to Mistico to La Fortuna town.

United StatesHad an awesome visit! There are SO many great sodas and places to eat at in town, we didn't necessarily want to pay for included breakfast. The kitchenette was perfect, and we could re-heat leftovers etc, but it really felt more like staying at our own place. We hardly saw another person (staff or guests, but we know they were there!) the whole time, and it was so peaceful. Staff was very responsive to questions via Whatsapp, and the instructions for getting in and out of the gate/ parking area/ keys etc were very clear.

It's clear how much effort, love, and passion they pour into everything they do. They take the time to genuinely connect with their guests and go above and beyond to cater to individual needs.
The meals are a highlight—delicious, healthy, and hearty, made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden. Every bite feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
The lodge itself is a stunning blend of a forest and a botanical garden, teeming with wildlife, especially birds. It's a nature lover's dream. I highly recommend the night tour with Jay—it’s an unforgettable experience. Nohelia is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rica as a whole, always ready to offer helpful tips and advice.
One thing to note: the lodge is accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, as the last 3 kilometers of the road are quite rough. However, the journey is absolutely worth it.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Ecolodge Cecropia. If I could, I’d rate it 200%. Nohelia and Jay are truly wonderful hosts, and they’ve created a magical place that’s not to be missed.

United StatesThe setting is amazing. We loved that the cabanas are tucked away from each other to create so much privacy and really allow to hear the jungle sounds. And the cabana was very comfortable.
The breakfast was great and it’s so enjoyable to watch the birds from the dining room. And the staff, both in the restaurant and front office are very nice and helpful.
The best part is the jungle trail and hummingbird garden on the property. Absolutely beautiful! We didn’t take the night hike but walked it in the daylight and saw so many amazing plants, frogs, birds, etc.

The view is amazing! We stayed in a nice wooden cabin with perfect view at the vulcano. When we were on the balcony, there where a lot of small birds. The cabin itself is big enough for 2 persons with big travelbags. The shower is warm and also big. The food (breakfast and also dinner) from the restaurant is very good and for a good price. The dogs are cute!
