I had a fantastic 7-day stay at Villa Rumassala—and I loved it so much that I extended my visit by another 10 days. I was based there while completing a medical elective at a nearby hospital, and the villa offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. Tucked away from the main road, it felt like a peaceful retreat, complete with a serene pool and fresh towels provided daily. The Villas are located about 15 min walk from the main Unawatuna beach and shopping/food area or a short tuktuk ride to Jungle beach (unless you're ok with walking up some steep hills!). The rooms were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and featured modern, spotless bathrooms. I particularly appreciated the communal kitchen area, which included a kettle and a washing machine—small touches that made a big difference during a longer stay. There was 24/7 security, making me feel safe throughout my stay. There was also a small gym that was open 24/7, however it did not have aircon which might put people off using in the Sri Lankan heat! What truly made my time unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. I was even invited to join in the Sinhala New Year celebrations—a beautiful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Sasini, whose kindness and attention to detail ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.

If there’s one place to stay in Sri Lanka, it’s here! A beautiful cabin, well-maintained, with brand new and super comfortable bedding—I’ve forgotten all about my own bed at home! Hot water, air conditioning working perfectly. Free laundry. The breakfast is exceptional, I’m still drooling just thinking about it! The kindness and hospitality of the family are truly rare—I’ve traveled a lot, but this is unmatched! And the farewell gift? Never seen anything like it! One word: THANK YOU. The only problem I see is that we don’t want to leave this place! If you’re reading this review, don’t think twice before I decide to book for the whole year! You won’t be disappointed!

The location is great: close to the main street and the beach yet quiet and peaceful, there's a great terrace and a garden, very atmospheric and with monkeys :) The bed was wide and comfy and sheets/towels were fresh, mosquito net provided. There was always hot water. The manager was very helpful and polite! We booked for 2 nights, then added 2, but would also stay more if we could. Inside everything is basic, but it's enough, safe and clean. Overall recommend.

Ginganga is really a beautiful, secluded property from the surrounding hassle of Galle and the beach towns. The common areas and rooms were incredibly clean, and the staff was super helpful. The meals we had there were also fantastic!

The Lodge is very well made. Malik and his family are very welcoming. The breakfast provided is amazing. The location is very good, in a quiet area, close to Galle Fort. You can even borrow some bicycles. Malik also provides very good tours around Galle Fort - definitely a recommendation!

Teyra Lodge is located in Galle, just 3.3 miles from Galle International Cricket Stadium and 3.5 miles from Galle Fort. This guest house provides air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony.
