I loved our private jacuzzi. The hosts, Rob and Karen were lovely. Their breakfasts are delicious. The decor of the lodge sure makes it feel like home. We enjoyed our stay.

The Lodge is absolutely lovely, incredibly comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful ensuite wiht bath tub that has views, grounds are beautiful. the entire team is freindly, helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.

The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. Yes, it is an older motel and some people will appreciate newer features, but the room was clean and the furnishings tasteful, a good TV etc and the motel itself has a wonderful view of the lake.

The accommodation environment here is excellent. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the garden is beautiful with many birds. The kitchen is fully equipped, modern, and very convenient. The hosts, a couple, are very warm, attentive, and welcoming. The husband’s cooking skills are outstanding. We are truly grateful to the hosts for making us feel that we received great value for our stay.
