MexicoPierre and Manon are perfect hosts. The location is gorgeous, the cabin was beautifully appointed. We loved everything about the ecolodge. Dinner was always excellent. There were monkeys and red frogs. (We didn’t see the caimans).

You are in the jungle and see all kinds of birds and wildlife, but you still have all of your comforts, like a nice bed, a beautiful relaxing space with a deck and hammock, a clean bathroom and hot shower. Jen cooks amazing dishes and always has the coffee on when you arrive for breakfast. She accommodates your dietary needs and the food includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can even watch her machete a fresh coconut for you to drink from, to get an electrolyte boost!

BrazilThe location is great, we can snorkel around the hotel without boats passing through. There are lots of fish under the bungalows. The rooms over the water are spacious, and staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant area is very pleasant. The natural reserve behind the hotel is good too, we had a chance to see monkeys, sloths, turtle, cayman. We went kayaking and paddle boarding.

It’s located in the middle of the sea, which is nice.
The cabins look very pretty and the surroundings with the jungle were great. You can also use the kayaks and SUPs for free, which is a nice touch. The botanical gardens are really nice and we could see caymans, lots of birds and frogs. I really enjoyed this. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice.
We had read that the noise from Colon Island was disruptive but we did not find it overwhelming at all.
On our last day we saw staff picking trash from the sea on a kayak. ❤️

Peacefull location, great breakfast and dinner, amaizing nature around the house! Hosts were great. We stayed in the main house as we were a party of 4 people but for 2 would definitely recomend to take a cabin, they areso cute! Kayaks were great to use. The house if eco - cold water only and electricity from the solar panels - if you are looking for simplicity and being in line with nature this is for you! We definitely enjoyed it!

Everything. The place is outstanding, surrounded by nature, sea and wildlife. The huts are lovely and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner very good and they made vegetarian menu for me. The owners Pierre and his wife are so nice and helpful. They tried to make our days there so special. I give the place 10 points over 10. I recommend this lodge if you’re gonna spend some days in Bastimentos.

The Eclypse is a very nice hotel. It looks fantastic, our hut-on-stilts was big and was absolutely fine for our family (children aged 13 and 10). The fact that the property backed onto its own nature reserve gave it an edge over hotels; we saw caiman, a sloth, some cool little red frogs and an impressively sized moth one evening.
For those not so keen on the jungle, there were cocktails and really good food in the restaurant. Not the speediest of service but that wasn't a problem for me; we were on Caribbean time!

Very nice place. Friendly, helpful, caring hosts. The cabins are surrounded by beautiful trees. Red frogs can be seen. Festive, delicious dinner with a glass of wine.
