I loved my stay in retoño, a little paradise in front of the ocean, run by some of the kindest people I’ve met. I had an unforgettable 2 days in there and they can cook an amazing vegetarian meals, there are filtered water as well.

Property is only few meters from the sea but by far the best part was the family could not do enough to make our stay fantastic. They took us on a walk when we arrived to get our bearings, took us whale watching and organised and provided transport for a visit to the jungle plus more.

A perfect sanctuary away from busy life it gives you what you need ,rest and peace. As you walk back out of your castle on a long wooden platform there you find pristine beaches for surfing a "paradise " depending on the rain and the light" . The food is super clean , the cleanest i experienced yet. And the assortment and variety was great. I had a mix of papaya pinapples and fresh fruit along side a well thought out breakfast .It felt like this place was visioned and built by travallers. Function is beauty. I loved being able to take the bicycle wherever i needed and the hosts were kind and were always checking if there's anything i need.

This is a trip that is one of those you never forget. Staying at this hotel was surreal, I mean, you are in the middle of the jungle where you hear the sounds of nature like never before. Staff was awesome, we were very well taken care and the food was insanely delicious! Rooms were nice and clean!

They are the most peaceful, welcoming and lovely couple which we’ve met during our journey…. And also Pedro is a perfect chef.
