The hotel territory is a huge garden with paved paths and only 11 bungalow rooms. Everything is very clean, neat and tastefully decorated. There’s a nice restaurant opened for breakfast and dinner. During the day the hotel can organize a horseback riding or an ATV experience. A definite recommendation!

Listening to the wildlife literally in the backyard was amazing. Our hosts were super responsive to our questions and generous. Highly recommended!

Had an awesome visit! There are SO many great sodas and places to eat at in town, we didn't necessarily want to pay for included breakfast. The kitchenette was perfect, and we could re-heat leftovers etc, but it really felt more like staying at our own place. We hardly saw another person (staff or guests, but we know they were there!) the whole time, and it was so peaceful. Staff was very responsive to questions via Whatsapp, and the instructions for getting in and out of the gate/ parking area/ keys etc were very clear.

The meals are a highlight—delicious, healthy, and hearty, made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden. Every bite feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The lodge itself is a stunning blend of a forest and a botanical garden, teeming with wildlife, especially birds. It's a nature lover's dream. I highly recommend the night tour with Jay—it’s an unforgettable experience. Nohelia is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rica as a whole, always ready to offer helpful tips and advice. One thing to note: the lodge is accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, as the last 3 kilometers of the road are quite rough. However, the journey is absolutely worth it. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Ecolodge Cecropia. If I could, I’d rate it 200%. Nohelia and Jay are truly wonderful hosts, and they’ve created a magical place that’s not to be missed.

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge offers 60 hectares of Cocoa farm and guests can enjoy tours, chocolate and bird watching. The accommodation features a seating area. We loved the huts - the lovely rooms with a terrace - we went to sleep listening to the sounds of nature. We loved the spa, the authentic and tasty breakfast and dinner and attended the chocolate making workshop and a tour of the cacao farm. Everything was AMAZING.
