With mountain views, Hortensias Chalets Vara blanca is set in Heredia and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. Breakfast was amazing! Delicious pancakes, omelets, cafe and strawberries from their garden. The location was close to Poas and La Fortuna not too far. The view from the chalets was breathtaking and so peaceful. The staff was so kind!

Situated in Sarapiquí, Yatama Rainforest Ecolodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. Some units have a seating area and/or a balcony. We loved our stay in this remote haven in the middle of the rain forest, surrounded by amazing hiking trails. It is rustic, but comfortable, and we enjoyed the chance to get to know the other guests. Our guided walks were outstanding and we saw an amazing array of frogs, birds and insects . It may not be for those who seek luxury, but it is definitely for those who seek authenticity. We’ll be back.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. Loved everything. That staff are amazing. The rooms were unbelievably amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The sanctuary was great! The waterfalls were a steep track during parts but well with it. Will definitely be back!!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Coco Cabana in the Jungle is set in Sarapiquí. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The location is fantastic: this cabana is quite remote in the middle of the jungle and in the morning we could spot monkeys and quite a few hummingbirds :) Additionally, the house is super well-kept and curated. We loved the outdoor kitchen and the comfy living room. Super recommend!!

Situated in Puerto Viejo, just 21 km from La Selva Biological Station, Vanilla Jungle Lodge - Rainforest Waterfall Garden features beachfront accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a... This was a unique lodging opportunity for my family and I. It was so special to see how this couple had transformed this part of land from a cattle field to their own jungle for growing vanilla. It was very private and right above the river. A perfect first stop for recovering from the long over night airplane ride. You are just far enough away from the main road and tourist attractions to relax on the front porch and watch for birds! It is rustic but well kept and has everything you need.
