It's 20 minutes from town down narrow, steep, winding dirt roads, so make sure you have a car. Watch the video to understand the last road, which look like it goes nowhere. The place is at the end of that "road." Beautiful views from the dome. There's a decently equipped kitchenette, and oil and coffee are provided. Best place I ever stayed. And Carlos is so nice.

Rooms are very spacious. Hot water in shower. Ac was very good. Lodge is set in a beautiful forested location. View of the pacific ocean. Lots of scarlet macaws. Very nice pool and hot tub.

The location was good near of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is in middle of a forest and is really quiet and is easy to see birds and monkeys. The pool is really nice and the beach is near walking. The house was clean and have all we need to enjoy the week we spend there.

Perfect location for us, having a car. 10 minutes from Monteverde, next to a farm and a small preserve with a nature trail. The host is so nice and helpful, with a fascinating family history.

It has an AMAZING view of Nicoya Peninsula, with an out of this world sunset. Best thing? You get to see all of this from your balcony and even from the bed. Everything was super clean. The kitchen was fully equipped, a huge shower and extra big and comfy bed. You are close to everything but still can enjoy absolute peace and quiet. I would recommend to everyone and definitely come back again. Also, we got a super price!

The lodging is no frills, but the total experience is outstanding. Heyer and Jenny and their family are very welcoming. They also invite WorkAway participants to help out on the farm, so there are lots of people to have meals together and exchange interesting conversation. We stayed a total of 3 nights over 5 days and enjoyed it immensely. As a bonus, we saw many bird species including 4 Scarlet Macaws in the trees next to the main house and watched a troop of Spider Monkeys pass through the trees next to our lodging.
