I fell in love with the space, the structure, the tent, the huge bed, and the wonderful view. A peaceful place, full of nature. Very organized and eco-friendly. I loved it and will be back soon!

The views of the lake and the volcano were exceptional and all the glass windows looking out over it. The property was so lush and beautiful. The outdoor shower and bathtub were amazing with views that cannot be beat. The water pressure was amazing and the water got hot quickly. The bed was comfortable. Each morning, breakfast was delivered (eggs, bacon, waffles, beans) by the friendly staff (for an additional ~$6, which can't be beat!). They did have optional things you could add on (like massage or tours) which we did not do. They had free kayaks you could take out as well + staff which would deliver dinner you ordered in town for you. Overall, amazing property to relax at!

The road to Casa Awanima is not to be called a road, but a concoction of rocks and dirt. But once you enter through the gate, you are in a completely different world of calm, relaxation, and joy. It is so remarkable how Kenzie (absolutely wonderful host and the owner) made the piece of jungle into a piece of paradise. We stayed in the main house. The room has a huge balcony with a hammock and chairs, and most importantly the phenomenal view of the lake and surrounding volcanos. Even from your bed you can enjoy the perfect view of a sunrise on the lake. The room has a toilet and a sink. There is an outside shower that you reach by crossing an open door kitchen. Yes, it might be quite surprising for many of us- the kitchen has all the parts of the true kitchen, but it is fully open to the outside, no doors. If you want to make your own meal, all is at your disposal. But you also can indulge into fantastic local cuisine for breakfast and lunch enjoying wonderful view of garden, lake and volcano. The garden- it is so well maintained and so rich in various plants and herbs (which you can use for your morning omlet or cup of herbal tea) that you do not need to leave the property if you just want to relax and enjoy the day. There is beautiful deck for yoga and the best part - the sauna and a cold plunge which you can enjoy in a complete privacy. I booked this place for three nights without having prior reviews, and I am so happy to say that it exceeded my expectations. Five stars honestly!

I loved the location — the garden in front of the house is beautifully maintained, and you can jump into the gorgeous lake within minutes. It's incredibly peaceful, which was exactly what I was looking for. They also provided fresh towels, which was a nice touch.
