We stayed in the only two bedroom villa at Oemah Tepi Sawah to celebrate my birthday. It was the most amazing birthday I've had for years! For all I had hope for, was to spend some time in the nature, the quiet part of Bali, and Oemah Tepi Sawah was the perfect place for me. We spent two nights and everything was perfect. From the homecook meal they served during breakfast and dinner, unto the grounds itself which was surrounded by rice paddies and tropical jungle. Not to mention the staffs were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are very polite to the guests including us who are actually local Indonesian. They spoke other languages like Dutch and English, and I have to give my hats off to ibu Dewi who is the owner of Oemah. We had a nice conversation on the last day we were there, and was very helpful in providing us information about the Subak Coffee (local grown coffee that was grown around the area). We would definitely come back, as we are nature lovers. Read the reviews before you book this place, don't expect a 5 star a hotel experience in the city. This place is for you to getaway from the craziness in the city, and be one with the nature!

This is a family affair. When I come to Bali Im on the look out for Balinese owned businesses and accommodation. There is real care and attention from Grandma and Made who I predominantly dealt with. I stayed 2 nights but could have stayed for more. I never allured to the cold shower but I was happy for it. Might have been how I was using it. This is a quiet and simple but elegant place to stay with everything you need to turn off. There's also stunning views while walking to be had very close by though rice fields. Don't hesitate. Just book it.

Set 30 km from Blanco Museum, Pondok Sulangai Villas by AGATA offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Very kind and hospitable owners. The bungalow was clean and comfortable.

The atmosphere was peaceful and surrounded by nature — exactly what we were looking for to relax and disconnect. Our cabin had a lovely view of the jungle and the pool — perfect for unwinding and enjoying the scenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the Balinese cooking class. We got to learn how to prepare traditional dishes with the help of a friendly and passionate local team. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, with a touch of Balinese culture, Bali Secret Jungle is the perfect place!

Staying at D’Jungle Eco Stay has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my trip to Bali ✨ Putu is an incredible host and a true spiritual guide: our conversations were so inspiring and enlightening. His wife is a fantastic cook, and I absolutely loved her homemade desserts. The place itself is magical, nestled in the jungle with a breathtaking view; the room was spotless, and I especially loved the outdoor shower. I also had the chance to join the spiritual trek with Putu’s cousin, Gere Galih, such a kind soul. Learning about the plants, meditating in a hidden temple, and experiencing a purification ceremony were moments I’ll never forget. This village was the only place in Bali where I truly felt the authentic local culture! Thank you for making my stay unforgettable!

Dedari Lodge Jatiluwih Rice fields státar af fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með baði undir berum himni, garði og bar, í um 31 km fjarlægð frá Tanah Lot-hofinu. Excellent location away from the crowds with a magnificent view on the rice fields. Arta gave us a wonderful welcome and gave very good advices. There are some very beautiful walks to do near the accommodation.

I came to Sanda from Lovina, crossing winding mountain roads in the rain. Despite reading many reviews before booking, and being inspired by one in particular to stay for three nights, I still felt a bit uncertain during the journey. But the moment I arrived, those worries faded. Here, I felt once again the purest form of human trust. Even without speaking the same language, deep connection was possible—through a gesture, a glance, a shared smile. The atmosphere is incredibly calming, and the food gave me real energy, not just physically but emotionally. To be honest, I find it hard to put this experience fully into words. Sanda feels different from anywhere else in Bali. This is not a place for passive tourism—it gently asks something of you too. If you're looking for a space to be still, to read, to think, to meditate, or to unplug from social media and constant feedback, this is a rare and beautiful choice. I spent three days here reading and reflecting, allowing my life to pause. My conversations with Harry gave me a deeper understanding of plants—their fruits, their rhythms, their stories. December is durian season, and I know I will return. Time spent here feels like a gift. I hope you give yourself one too.

The Lookout Cabin í Pupuan Tabanan Bali er staðsett í Tabanan, 43 km frá Tanah Lot-hofinu og 49 km frá Ubung-rútustöðinni. Boðið er upp á garð- og garðútsýni. I loved the location — right across from the rice terraces. It’s very secluded and peaceful, with no noise and no road nearby. I slept really well; it’s quite cool there, which is another big plus compared to the hot south. I even slept under a warm blanket. The cottage itself is very beautiful, everything is made with love. The hosts offer breakfast for an additional fee, but if you plan to cook for yourself, bring your own food, as there’s almost nothing around. The only warung I wanted to go to for dinner was closed. However, there are two small shops nearby where you can buy some snacks.

UmaUthu Bali er staðsett 31 km frá Tanah Lot-hofinu og býður upp á útisundlaug, garð og loftkæld gistirými með verönd og ókeypis WiFi. Beautiful place to stay when visiting the rice fields in Jatiluwih! Very friendly staff, good breakfast and the room was perfect. Stunning half-outdoor bathroom with hot shower. The view is breathtaking, mix of rice fields and jungle. We enjoyed the warm pool as well. The place is near the walking trails of Jatiluwih rice fields, so easy to start your walking journey from there and admire the beautiful rice terrace !
