Beautiful retreat house with lovely amenities and wonderful staff. My room was very cozy and had a comfortable futon, with the most wonderful quilt/comforter I've ever used! I appreciated the provided tea & coffee bar, and enjoyed the relaxing Buddha room with tatami floors. I was sent a message by staff before my arrival, and they made sure my check-in was easy. I would love to book a longer stay next time to fully enjoy the space!

Mountain Home Lodge in Deer Park ligger i Nara Park-distriktet i Nara, 3,3 km fra Nara Station og 20 km fra Iwafune Shrine. Der er gratis wi-fioveralt. Everything was perfect and as expected. Neat and clean also very close to a lot of tourist stops.

The host, Bon (hope I spell that right) has been very careful with every inside detail; being welcomed with jazz music in a lovely, wood smelling place you come at ease as soon as you step inside. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and meticulously prepared. The bed was comfortable with an amazing view. Slept like a baby. Thank you Bon for helping me with fixing my hiking sticks! strong arms :) The whole place was very neat. One could use the washing machine as well, but there was no dryer. Next time I'll stay 2 nights.

Comfortable home. Clean and even a washing machine. 5 minute walk from Tengachaya station ( train & subway ) Direct train connection to Kansai airport. Grocery store and restaurants within 3 minute walk

秋桜館Cosmos ligger i centrum af Kyoto, 1,9 km fra Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall og 2,5 km fra Nijo-slottet. Her er gratis wi-fi, en have og aircondition. Det var et meget smukt tradionelt japansk hus, der lå i et skønt kvarter,. Dejligt dynebetæk og håndklæder.

Amazing stay! We had the whole place to ourselves, and the village is incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The common areas are great and easy to use, adding to the comfort. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

The house is very clean and spacious.the view is amazing.the staff is so very helpful and even provide laundry service.my family had an episode of getting drenched from head to toe from getting caught in heavy rain but they helped us do the laundry and we used the furnace to dry our drenched shoes and coats.the skylight is also a highlight as we slept under the moonlight.highly recommended.there's not enough stars to give for their exceptional hospitality.the facilities are complete with all kitchen equipments,towels, cleaning products,they will also provide food if you need.

Taraichitei er et overnatningssted med en have og ligger i Takashima, 28 km fra Kehi Jingu Shrine, 34 km fra Omimaiko Beach og 40 km fra Obama Station. It is an old style house, so as long as you aren't expecting Western/modern comforts, it's fantastic! My daughter called it the Totoro house. You will sleep on Japanese futons that you lay out on the tatami mats - if you've never slept on a futon it might feel uncomfortable/hard compared to Western beds. You will eat sitting on the tatami mats, but there are a couple of small Western chairs if sitting on the floor is difficut. The bathroom is Japanese style with the toilet in one section, the sink/vanity in a second section and the shower with separate furo (deep bathtub for soaking after washing in the shower) in the third section. It was not the most modern but all clean and more spacious than the Western hotel bathrooms we had other parts of Japan! There is a TV, wifi worked great and a bluetooth speaker to play music. There aren't a lot of "tourist" attractions nearby but it you want serenity this hits the spot - a few steps away has you walking among farming fields and the house is also close to the forest with a little stream running along side the road making for a peaceful but easy walk up the mountain. The gohan (rice) cooked in the old style stove was the best we ate our entire trip! Wish we had bought some of the local rice. It can get a little smoky when dinner is being cooked but my mild asthma was fine. The host, Hiro, is amazing, super accomodating and friendly, he introduced us to his shiba inu (dog) and his duck, and even though we didn't ask ahead, he prepped for us to make tofu - this experience was an extra fee but totally worth it! During the winter you can also request mochitsuki (pounding rice into mochi) and summer/fall you can make noodles (can't remember if he said soba, ramen or udon). Hiro's English is limited, but he's so engaging, we asked him to eat dinner with us and my daughter loved that...he has such good energy!
