The girl who checked us in was very friendly and had very clear explanations for everything! She really helped us when we were ill-prepared for the Jomon Sugi hike, which we appreciated a lot! There were complimentary welcome drinks and a dessert on the second day which were delicious. The cabin was clean with all the facilities you could need, plus there was a hose in the front yard for you to clean your hiking shoes. The morning view from the deck was also amazing! Note the accommodation is about 15 minutes drive south of Anbo, so it is a bit out of the way of the main attractions, but it wasn't a big deal as we enjoyed the peace.

Our trip was focused on taking advantage of Aso's beautiful nature and the cottage's location allowed us to do this. It was also great to know that there was a large bath to use after the hike to soak our tired legs!
