I wish we had known that we could cook. We would’ve brought heaps with us because we had our own kitchen. The views were outstanding. We were shocked when we arrived. It is definitely out of the way but for us who were doing the 88 temples driving was perfect wouldn’t suggest this for someone who was walking. The bath and shower facilities were out of this world.

The staff are super courteous and give you a real sense of Japanese culture. Our room was large and had a lovely view onto the river. Free coffee and soft drinks, and an onsen was included (we didn't even need to use the shower in our room). Really great value for the service we received!
